The comment on "Titanic" reminded me of my gripe against that picture: the crew were uniformly portrayed as panic-stricken, corrupt, idiots. Absolute calumny. They took a beating. The engineers, stewardesses, electricians, the sixth, first, and chief officers went down with the ship, as did the Captain. Now kids are laying roses at the grave of "J. Dawson" in the "Titanic" section of the cemetery in Halifax, thinking the body that lies there is Leonardo DiCaprio's character. Wrong again...he's a crewman who died in the water. Jack Dawson, Rose DeWitt Bukater, Ruth Bukater, Caledon Hockley, and Spicer Lovejoy are all fictional.
I can't wait to see the re-make of "Sink the Bismarck." DiCaprio will lead a bunch of American pilots in F-15s against the battleship, with a female scuba diver attaching a bomb to the ship, while Darth Vader flies after them in TIE fighters, guided by the evil British traitor....
