Painting signed by Doolittle and 26 Raiders

Postby biggspj on February 4th, 2009, 7:33 am

I am searching for someone who could tell me how much a painting that I have acquired is worth (for insurance purposes only). It is an original 24" by 18" 1984 Waddey Military Aircraft painting of a B-25, the painting was signed by Lt. General Doolittle Retired, and 26 of his Raiders. It was signed at the 42nd reunion dinner held in Fort Worth (4/13/1984).

I have searched the internet for anyone that may be able to help and as of yet have not been able to find anyone that is able to help.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You have a great piece of history, I also would like to find out about the piece I have. I tell about it in a post in the "Comment page" - Doolittle Raid (Prior To). Its 1 of the 5 photo copies (not xerox) made in 1942 prior to leaving for Califorina by my father(in charge of the photo lab), made for Col Doolittle. Its the map signed by all the Officers that flew on the mission plus Lt. Miller and a couple others that did not go. If you know of any info on this map or people that may know, please respond back.

Thank you,
Robert Reid

I too have a copy of the print, "0820 18 April, 1942" signed by Robert Moak and General Doolittle. Anybody have any idea what it is worth?
