A note from Chase's Daughter...

Postby Todd Joyce on March 22nd, 2007, 1:02 pm

I have just received a note from Sherrie Nielsen Wendel who is Chases Daughter and she has informed me that chase is not doing well at this time. She has indicated that he has been suffering from Leukemia for the last year or so and is in his last days.

Our best wishes and prayers go out to Chase and his family in this difficult time.

Chase was a POW as a result of the Doolittle Raid and he was the sole survivor from his crew. Some of the others were executed, but Chase made it home. We are all thankful that Chase has been able to live his life out to the fullest and I can not imagine what he has been through as a result of the war but I am very greatful that he fought for our country and our freedom.

God bless you Chase and Godspeed...
