Lucian Nevelon Youngblood, 0-421153, Major Two years of College. Entered military service on September 10, 1936 at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Graduated from Advanced Flying School and commissioned as Second Lieutenant in July, 1941. Remained in China-Burma-India Theater after Tokyo Raid until May, 1943. Assigned to bases in South Carolina, New York and Kansas for remainder of World War II. Departed for service in Newfoundland in February, 1946 and returned to States in August, 1948. Killed in aircraft accident in the Serranias Delburro Mountains, Mexico, February 29, 1949. Decorations include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Silver Star, Air Medal, and the Chinese Army, Navy, and Air Corps Medal, Class A, 1st Grade.
